Music is a way to let one’s spirit soar. Side-By-Side sponsors a weekly jam session for homeless musicians and others in the community who need a place to play and express their creative spirits. The North Sacramento United Methodist Church, 650 El Camino Blvd., Sacramento partners with us in giving us space to play. Donated instruments from guitars to drums are provided. Rides are provided from Loaves & Fishes homeless organization to the jam session. Lonnie Smith, formerly homeless, co-founded and leads the sessions. Volunteers provide transportation and support. All are welcome!
