Side-By-Side Has the Blues! – Winter 2009

For the second year in a row, the Sacramento Blues Society and the Torch Club sponsored a fundraiser for Side-By-Side.  It was on Saturday afternoon, September 19th.  Dozens of very talented and well-known musicians and bands freely offered their talents to raise money and awareness for Side-By-Side.  There was a raffle for a guitar and “Blues for the Cure” CDs.  It was a great afternoon of wonderful music, dancing and fun!  The Blues Society event made over $2,000.00 for Side-By-Side!

Much thanks to all who supported the day by purchasing tickets and coming out.  Special thanks goes to John Noxon and Willie Brown for their organizing and publicity efforts, to Equinox for providing the equipment and back band, to ALL the musicians who came out – too many to mention here), to Marina and her great staff at the Torch Club, to The Deacon, and to ALL our friends at the Blues Society.  We love you!
